Hello Them Days Friends!
Our new website will be up and running soon! Its changes are subtle, but I hope they will make your online Them Days experience a better one. There is something very exciting in the works too, but until the change to the new server is 100%, I’ll keep quiet on that one. So right now, as the server is being switched over, you may experience a glitch or two, but it should be done within 48 hours. (I know I said it before, but this time it’s happening. Really, really happening.)
Recently, the behind-the-scenes work here at my desk hasn’t been terribly interesting for people outside the office (updating the website, writing reports and ordering supplies isn’t really photo- or blog-worthy), so in lieu of a what-we’re-doing-in-the-office post, I’m posting a few links.
- A totally exciting organization that helps out non-profits with web services, including web space, consultations with professionals, fundraising help, etc. Them Days became a member of grassroots.org nearly a month ago and I am still very, very excited about our membership.
- A blog from Concordia University’s Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling. They’ve made a software for oral historians that helps manage oral history collections. Very exciting stuff!
- The website of the Canadian Oral History Association. A good resource for anybody interested in oral history.
Well, that’s it for me today! Have a good one, folks!
