Saturday was our fourth annual Culture Days event. The general format of the day went pretty well in previous years, so we decided to stick with it, but updated it a bit to keep it fresh. As promised, there was fish and brewis in addition to the flummies, and local musicians played live music.
The updates, I have to say, were great (sooooo glad Daphne suggested fish and brewis!). With live music, the day seemed, well, livelier, and it brought in people who were just walking by and wanted to check out what was going on. So happy to have the music!
The weather really helped, too–not often you get 27-degree days at the end of September! We were sweating, but it was good.
A lot of people picked up Name That Labrador Tune passports too, which was great. There’s been a lot of interest in the scavenger hunt–have you been keeping up?
All in all, it was a great day. Thank you to the people who came out to enjoy our largest and most successful Culture Days ever, and to all our volunteers–we couldn’t have done it without you!
Don’t forget–this weekend coming up (Sat., Oct. 5) we have a fundraiser! Get your tickets from the Lawrence O’Brien Arts Centre today!
