Congratulations to the winners, and thanks to everybody who played!
This project started when my friend/collaborator John Gaudi (you’ll remember him from Game On, or you might know his voice if you listen to Labrador Morning) came up with the idea and we started working on it together…it went through a few changes (originally it was going to be Labrador book quotes) and then it became an official partnering between our workplaces and became what you saw on Hamilton River Road if you were in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, or heard on the radio if you were listening to CBC Radio’s Labrador Morning radio program.
It was so much fun to talk to people doing the scavenger hunt…while John and I were putting up some signs, people stopped and talked with us, called out song names, pulled up and wrote things down. People would call, or come up to me to ask questions about the hunt…it was so much fun and I’m glad people really enjoyed playing along! I got a real kick out of seeing people pull over near a sign and start writing. It was awesome!
Did you follow along on CBC radio?
And now, the answer key, in order from the lower part of the Valley up Hamilton River Road into Goose Bay:
Name That Labrador Tune was a great game for the whole community (if I do say so myself!) and I’m glad we were able to partner with CBC Radio’s Labrador Morning to bring it beyond Happy Valley-Goose Bay! Thank you!
And a special thank you to Hamilton Drugs, for hosting the passport pick-up and drop-off box. It was much appreciated!
